A series of regional workshops is set to zoom in on how best to integrate gender into national climate policies, actions and plans. The regional workshops, the first of which will be held on 22 July for the Asia and Pacific region, will enable the sharing of relevant case studies, examples and lessons learned on the results, impacts and main challenges that governments face in the integration of gender into national climate policies, plans, strategies and action.

El análisis FODA dentro de la Estrategia de educación ambiental para la sustentabilidad en México 2006-2014 de la SEMARNAT, ya identificaba a la educación ambiental como un campo no prioritario en el contexto de las políticas educativas nacionales, con participación limitada de actores estratégicos, ausencia de financiamiento significativo y docentes con preparación limitada en el tema. Aspectos que siguen latentes casi quince años después.
